WHAT IS A LOCHGELLY TAWSE?

Historically, although banned in schools in 1986, this style of tawse was used in Scotland by teachers, to reprimand their badly behaved pupils (some of us are not too old to remember this practice & it still brings tears to our eyes!!). The teacher would wield the belt from behind his shoulder, in a downward motion, leaving the poor child with a very red & stinging hand.

The Lochgelly Tawse by nature, is designed as a high impact, short sharp shock implement. It is not a flogger, or a paddle, and can take time to master - but when used correctly (wielded from behind the shoulder in a downward motion) is the perfect 'reward' for mischevious, childish & general bad behaviour.

There is no other sensation quite like it ;o)
